Solar Removal and Re-Installation Services
Solar is a 25+ year investment, so chances are that at some point during the life of your system you will need to have your panels removed and re-installed in order to replace your roof. This is a normal part of owning a solar system, and in many cases all costs are covered under your homeowner’s insurance. We work with your insurance company and your roofer to coordinate the removal of your panels and the re-installation once your new roof has been installed. During the removal we examine your equipment to ensure everything is in working order. If we find an issue, we work with your insurance company to cover the necessary costs to return your system to its original working order. Once the roof is completed, we clean the panels and re-install them as they were on your roof. The system is tested and then you’re back up and running. If there are any changes you want to make, that can be accommodated. Its also a great opportunity to add more panels if you would like to expand your system. We handle everything from A to Z so you don’t have to worry about anything.
Solar Panels damaged by hail?
It isn’t common that hail will do significant damage to your solar panels themselves, but here in Texas it is certainly possible. If you have damaged solar equipment, your homeowner’s insurance typically covers the cost of replacement just as they do with your roof. We will remove the hail damaged solar panels and then order replacements while the roofer installs the new shingles. Once the roof is complete your system is returned to it’s previous electricity producing glory.
